Désiré CHRISTIAN (1843–1907) in Meisenthal circa 1897 An ovoid-shaped double-layer glass vase with a design of flowering branches, deeply engraved in cameo style on interlayers of polychrome enamels and fully ground on a partially hammered background. Engraved signature ‘D. Christian Meisenthal Loth’ beneath the base. H: 18.5 cm A double-layer glass vase by Désiré Christian at Meisenthal from around 1897, with a deeply etched decoration of flowering branches, enhanced with gold, on a partially hammered background. Signed “D. Christian Meisenthal Loth” beneath the base.
