Désiré CHRISTIAN (1843–1907) "Cypripedium" A flattened, ovoid-shaped vase in multi-layered colourless, opal white, yellow and red crystal, decorated with Cypripedium orchids (lady’s slipper) engraved in reserve and entirely wheel-cut on a partially hammered background with fine facets. Signed “D. Christian” with a point under the base. H: 10.5 cm (flaw on the neck) A “Cypripedium” egg-shaped, multilayered translucent, opalescent white, red and yellow-tinted crystal vase by Désiré Christian, with an etched and wheel-contoured decoration on a partially hammered background. Signed “D. Christian” beneath the base.
