VALLERYSTHAL
A multi-layered glass vase, tinted yellow, ochre and opal, with an allegorical design finely engraved and painted in polychrome enamels, iridescent brown and gold, depicting a compartmentalised cartouche featuring a drinker and a goat, followed by a woman and a peacock, framed by flowers and rose leaves, oak leaves and acorns, as well as thistle branches and the inscriptions ‘Taste’ (“Taste”) and “Smell” (“Odour”).
“Vallerysthal” signature engraved beneath the base.
