Emile GALLE (1846–1904) “Dahlias” Oval carafe and stopper, in amber-coloured smoked crystal, decorated with flowers engraved in reserve and painted with polychrome hard enamels and gold, featuring a heat-fused handle and glass cabochons adorning the centres of the flowers. Signed “Cristallerie d’Émile Gallé Nancy Modèle et décor déposés” H: 31 cm. (traces of grinding on the stopper and missing enamel on the decoration) A “Dahlias” amber and smoked crystal jug designed by Gallé – Nancy, with an etched and polychromatic and gold enamelled decoration, featuring hot-applied cabochons in the centres of the flowers. Signed “Cristallerie d’Émile Gallé Nancy Modèle et décor déposés” H: 12.20 inches (grinding marks on the lid and missing enamel in the decoration)
