Emile GALLE (1846–1904) "Dahlias" Oval carafe and stopper, in amber-coloured smoked crystal, decorated with flowers engraved in reserve and painted with polychrome hard enamels and gold, featuring a heat-fused handle and glass cabochons adorning the centres of the flowers. Signed “Cristallerie d’Émile Gallé Nancy Modèle et décor déposés” H: 31 cm. (traces of grinding on the stopper) A “Dahlias” amber and smoked crystal jug designed by Gallé - Nancy, with an etched and polychromatic and gold enamelled decoration, featuring hot-applied cabochons set in the centres of the flowers.
