Emile GALLE (1846–1904) “Nothing without love” Design created in 1886, reissued in 1899 (and 1900) A baluster-shaped vase in green-tinted glass with polychrome enamelled decoration and gold highlights featuring heraldic lions, fleurs-de-lis, stylised foliage and scrollwork surrounding the motto “Nothing without love” on a gold background. Marked “Reissued by Gallé at his crystal works in Nancy 1899” on the base, next to the monogram “EG Gallé”. H: 32 cm A “Rien sans amour” (“Nothing without love”) green-tinted glass vase from an 1889 edition of the design created by Émile Gallé in 1886, with a polychrome and gold-enamelled decoration of heraldic lions, lily flowers, stylised plants and scrolls surrounding the motto “Nothing without love” on a gold background. Marked “Réédité par Gallé en sa cristal de Nancy 1899” on the base and “EG Gallé”.
