Description
Emile GALLE (1846–1904) “Flowers and Ribbons” Perfume bottle and stopper, in crystal with polychrome enamelled decoration highlighted in gold, featuring garlands of forget-me-nots and ribbons, dotted with dragonflies. Signed on the base in reddish-brown enamel “Gallé à Nancy” and numbered “24” with a point H: 9.5 cm (lid broken and reattached) A crystal flask and its lid designed by Émile Gallé with a polychrome and gold-enamelled decoration of garlands of forget-me-nots, ribbons and dragonflies. Red-enamelled “Gallé à Nancy” signature on the base, plus etched number “24”. H: 3.74 inches (stopper broke and glued)
