Emile GALLE (1846–1904)
“Coeur de Marie”
A substantial vase in solid green-tinted glass, with a broad, shouldered neck, decorated with two long glass teardrops applied whilst hot on either side. Decor engraved in reserve and painted with polychrome hard enamels and gold, depicting clusters of flowers on an acid-etched frosted background.
“Gallé” signature in gold-enamelled reserve within the design.
