Émile GALLÉ (1846–1904) "Datura Japonica" A multi-layered glass vase with an ovoid body, a wide, flared neck with a curved rim, and a small, straight, recessed foot. Superb deeply etched decoration of finely veined leaves and flowers, entirely outlined on the wheel. Signed “Gallé” in reserve, towards the base. H: 21.5 cm A “Datura Japonica” multilayer glass vase designed by Émile Gallé, with a deeply etched and wheel-outlined decoration of leaves and flowers. Signed “Gallé” within the decoration.
