Emile GALLE (1846–1904) “Ferns and Grasshopper” circa 1894 Double-walled glass vase, partially tinted in wine-red and violet-blue, with a cameo-engraved design of a grasshopper amongst ferns. Engraved signature “Cristallerie d’Emile Gallé Nancy” between two fern fronds, beneath the base. H: 10 cm (a small burst bubble on the neck and others in the decoration) A “Ferns and Grasshopper” vase in partially wine-coloured and blue-violet tinted double-layered glass, designed by Emile Gallé, featuring an etched decoration of a grasshopper amongst ferns.
