Description
Small chest of drawers with a curved front decorated with veneer and marquetry. The wooden top is decorated with small flowers in the central part, diamond-shaped compartments and a walnut frame decoration in cross wood. The cherry-wood veneered sides are decorated with a compound fillet in walnut frames. The front opens to reveal three rows of drawers inlaid with small flowers and small diamond-shaped panels framed in amaranth. It is canted and stands on a small straight base. Provincial work from the 18th century. NB: The dismantling of a small handle reveals no other trace of fastenings for the tie rods. Only a restored veneer on the top drawer of the central part can give us the possible hypothesis of a central draw knob. Good condition. H. 33 - D. 24 - W. 42 cm.
