Description
Walnut and walnut veneered sideboard in two parts, the upper part recessed, opening with two small doors decorated with four small panels veneered with burr walnut. There are two small drawers in this part. The lower section has a moulded top with two wide drawers in the waistband and opens through two doors divided into four small panels also veneered with burr walnut. It is adorned with rounded fluted jambs adorned with foliage capitals and box leaves. The bases of the colons on the lower section are bulbous. The whole piece of furniture has a protruding cornice and the upper part is adorned with angels' faces. Probably made in the Loire Valley in the early 17th century. NB: Damage and missing mouldings. Locks missing in the drawers and upper doors. Piece of furniture to be restored. Height 180 - Depth 64 - Width 145 cm.
