Two boxes, a snuffbox and a lighter:
1) small silver-plated copper jewellery box with a hinged lid decorated with a scene entitled ‘Flemish Fair’ after David D. Teniers; the sides are adorned with foliage scrolls; 20th century; length 9.5 cm; some silver plating is missing.
2) Rectangular box made of boiled cardboard, with a hinged lid decorated with geometric motifs and polychrome stars, late 19th or early 20th century, L. 9.5 cm, signs of wear and minor losses.
3) Handmade by soldiers? A cap-shaped snuff box in copper and brass, early 20th century, L. 8.5 cm, minor chip.
4) Made by soldiers: a book-shaped lighter in copper and brass, opening at the back of the book, circa 1914–1918, length 6 cm, non-functional, wick missing.
