Three cases, three magnifying glasses and a fan:
1) A rectangular tortoiseshell case with a domed shape and rounded short sides, edged with brass, 19th century, L. 12.5 cm, with holes and cracks.
2) A straw marquetry case decorated with flowers, containing two perfume bottles, late 18th century; one bottom is missing, the other has come away, with chips and the bottle stoppers missing.
3) Mother-of-pearl case engraved with two oval medallions adorned with doves and marked ‘souvenir d’amitié’, late 18th or early 19th century, H. 7 cm, damage and losses to the mother-of-pearl, interior missing and hinge requiring reattachment.
4) Fan made of light-coloured horn with re-pierced foliage decoration, painted with a scene of a young woman playing the lyre and a riverside landscape, 19th century, H. 15.5 cm, torn ribbon.
5) Three horn magnifying glasses, two of which have double lenses, late 19th century, closed width: 9 to 10 cm, one lens missing, another needs reattaching and there are scratches.
