Silver sewing kit comprising: a pair of scissors with a cornucopia motif and steel blades, a needle holder, a threader, a steel pricking tool, a steel crochet hook, and a star-shaped mother-of-pearl bobbin.
Thread guide: Paris, small hallmark, 1809–1819; needle holder: Paris, small hallmark, 1819–1838; silversmith’s mark illegible.
The awl and the pair of scissors bear no hallmarks.
Gross weight: 25 g.
Damage and missing parts on the awl, slight impact mark on the scissors, thimble missing.
The set comes in a rectangular box covered in imitation leather with a decoration of diamond shapes, palmettes and foliage, edged with a gold motif applied with a fine tool; the inside of the lid is fitted with a mirror, which has some damage and missing sections.
