Exceptional Jasperware cameo belt buckle made by J. Wedgwood by Mathew Boulton.
England, 1785-1790
Oval cameo medallion of Diana disarming Cupid after Pompeo Batoni (1761) in Wedgwood stoneware with blue ground and white relief edged with three rows of faceted steel pearls. Steel mounting pierced to be sewn onto the belt and central hook.
(Excellent condition).
