In the taste of the early 19th century Portrait of Viscount Le Jeans, colonel, aide-de-camp to Joseph Bonaparte. Oil on canvas. Height 66 cm; Width: 56 cm. He was aide-de-camp to his uncle Joseph Bonaparte. Considered close to the imperial family, he had to leave the army, but Louis XVIII did not hold this against him and ennobled him. Created a hereditary viscount by letters patent dated 18 August 1819, he was elevated to the ranks of Knight of Saint-Louis, Officer of the Legion of Honour and Knight of the Sword of Sweden.
