Description
Suite of four cabriolet armchairs in natural wood, moulded and carved with flowers, the armrests with cuffs ending in scrolls, the consoles with curves, the front crossbar in the form of a crossbow, resting on four arched legs. Yellow upholstery, modern cushion. Louis XV period. Stamped I.P LETELIER. (Wear and a few chips). Height 89 cm; Width: 60 cm; Depth: 49 cm Jacques-Pierre LETELIER, received master in 1747. This joiner, established in the rue de Charenton, produced almost exclusively Louis XV chairs. He stamped his furniture with his name spelt with a single L and preceded by the initials I.P.
