A fruitwood, amaranth and marquetry chest of drawers opening to three drawers, the Sainte-Anne grey marble top resting on rounded uprights with simulated fluting and tapered legs; handwritten inscription on the back of the marble Vaffou for Vassou. Stamped by Jean-Baptiste Vassou, a cabinetmaker who was awarded the title of Master in 1767. Louis XVI period. Height 84 cm; Width: 94 cm; Depth: 44 cm The handwritten note "Vassou" under the marble, probably made by the marble maker, refers to the recipient of the delivery, the cabinetmaker Jean-Baptiste Vassou.
