Chahira Issai II 二代茶平一斎 (Japan, 1948-) A nashiji lacquer tea pot (natsume) with taka maki-e gold and silver lacquer, kirikane and hedatsu decoration of open fans decorated with iris, bamboo, cherry blossom, crane, chrysanthemums and chidori. The interior is in nashiji lacquer and bears the kao of Hisada Soya (Jingyusai) (1925-2010), 12th tea master of the Hisada family of the Omotsenke school. Fukusa stamped Issai.
