Description
PARIS, early 19th century
Tea set comprising four cups and their saucers, a covered teapot, a water jug, a sugar bowl (lid missing), decorated with four liqueur glasses, two water glasses, two covered flasks, four silver spoons, a funnel, a small flask and a tea press. Chips on the lids of the flasks. Under the cups in a compartment, six period iron boxes. Porcelain decorated with a garland of poppies and roses separated by a Hungary stitch with gold foliage. Wide gold fillet on the handles, rims and spout. It is housed in a wooden case with two side handles and a bronze escutcheon on the top. The inside of the case is made of silk with a pink background and silver braid. There is a dent in the top of the box.
