Alphonse GIROUX et Cie. Carved wooden puppet theatre simulating a bridge topped by a sign reading "ROUTE IMPERIALE"; the back of the stage is removable. Signed A. Giroux Fecit 1860. Napoleon III period. (Minor accidents and missing parts). Height 29.5 cm; Width: 55 cm; Depth: 24 cm. This small theatre's plant decoration evokes the happiness of the Empress's day, kept at the Château de Compiègne (C.59030).
