Description
German officer's or Freemason's sabre.
Leather-covered handle with filigree. Gilt and chased brass mounting, Blücher-style single-branch hilt with chased quillon, two triangular half-oreillons, the front one decorated with a silver compass and square motif.
Curved blade with flat back and hollow sides engraved with Turkish motifs and stars (remains of gilding). Sheet iron scabbard with two brass bracelets and two brass rings. Asymmetrical sting.
