Description
Prussian cavalry officer's sabre model 1889. Handle in stingray with filigree. Brass mounting, skullcap with cut-out skirt, four-point guard, three of which are bolted. Straight blade signed at the heel and on the back "EWALD CLEFF SOLINGEN", with gutters, richly engraved with foliage, trophies and the Prussian Arms and "EISENHAUER". Nickel-plated sheet metal scabbard with two straps. With leather strap and gilt trimmings. Very good condition (minor oxidation). 106 cm long.
