Description
Émile GALLE (1846 - 1904) Amber glass liqueur service comprising an ovoid carafe with grooved shoulder and detached side handle on a hot-glued twisted pedestal and seven conical grooved tumblers on a rounded pedestal with their saucers. Flower decoration engraved in reserve with the wheel and entirely enhanced with gilding. Its walnut presentation tray with poly-lobed body and projecting edge decorated with poppies and butterflies in marquetry of different types of wood (scratches, slight blistering) is included. Signed "Gallé, Nancy-Paris, déposé, G.G." on each glass piece and signed Gallé in the marquetry on the top. Carafe: Height 21.5 cm Tumbler: Height 7.5 cm Saucer: diam. 11 cm Tray: 46.5 x 30 cm
