ORLINSKI (Richard) – CHAINE (Sonia). Richard Orlinski. Translated into English by Anne Muller and Sinead Healy. Paris: Cimarosa, 2012. – Square folio, 405 × 400 mm: 177 pages (20 leaves). Illustrated hardback by the publisher, in a wooden and plexiglass slipcase, also containing a lacquered, resin-moulded plaque depicting a Kong in half-relief, the whole housed in a military-style wooden crate. First bilingual French-English edition of this monograph dedicated to the artist and sculptor Richard ORLINSKI (born 1966), featuring numerous photographs of his works, reproductions of drawings and elements from his artistic universe. A limited edition of 2,500 copies, numbered and signed by the artist, enhanced with a resin sculpture of Kong in half-relief. The book bears the number 34, whilst the sculpture bears the number 245. This copy is accompanied by a 33 cm ‘Wild Kong’ sculpture in red resin, numbered 13/100, from the ‘Wild Born Concept’ series, as well as a digitally retouched colour photograph depicting a giant Kong trapped behind the façade of a metal building, signed by the artist and numbered 245/2500. The set is housed in a large military-style wooden crate (L. 46 × W. 46 × H. 40 cm), bearing inscriptions in Russian on the lid and on one of the sides.
