Napoleon III 1852–1870 Silver Medal, Paris Universal Exhibition 1855, by A. Barre 1855, Paris, AG 126.08 g. 59.5 mm Obverse: NAPOLEON III – EMPEROR. Bare head facing right; below, the signature ALBERT BARRE. Reverse: EXPOSITION UNIVERSELLE AGRICULTURE INDUSTRIE BEAUX-ARTS / PARIS 1855. Within a wreath formed of a laurel branch and a palm frond, the coat of arms of the Empire. Around the rim, twenty escutcheons bearing the coats of arms of the participating countries, and a cartouche at the bottom.
