DEBT, Bronze coin (50 mm) with a smooth reverse field bearing the following inscription in six lines: TO THOSE WHO UNDERSTOOD US/THANK YOU/THE BROKEN GVEVLES/THE BLINDED BY WAR/THE MOST SEVERELY DISABLED/THE BROKEN WINGS. Signed, undated. Hallmark AB. A rare and moving tribute by the artist to those wounded in the Great War. Enclosed are two copies, dated 1907, of the bronze strike (6.4 cm) commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Compagnie Parisienne de Distribution Electrique, as well as a bronze strike (50 mm) without a hallmark to mark the centenary of the Mulhouse Fire Brigade (1825–1925). All four, very good condition
