Designed by Giuseppe Romagnoli, 50 mm Obverse: SALVE MAGNA PARENS FRVGVM SATVRNIA TELLVS MAGNA VIRVM Virgil seated on a throne, in three-quarter profile to the left, crowned by a flying female figure to the right above him; Rome standing behind, holding a shield and spear; allegories of fertility and pastoral life on the left; G • ROMAGNOLI below. Reverse: TV REGERE IMPERIO POPVLOS ROMANE MEMENTO Ancius, an elderly man draped in a cloak, standing on the left, pointing towards the horizon; with Aeneas, in a tunic and cuirass, holding a spear and shield, standing on a hill, facing the glorious figures of the Roman Empire arranged in a group before him; VOTA • BIS • MILLESIMA • FELICITER • MCMXXX • A • VIII • E • F in three lines below.
