Description
[Historical Souvenir]. SET OF THREE silver MEDALONS (to be verified) containing under glass the presumed hair of King Charles X, the Duchess of Berry and the Duke of Bordeaux specified by labels written in ink.
Provenance: These three small frames come from the family of a Peer of France promoted under Charles X whose family actively participated in emigration and the Vendée wars. Through its alliances, it was very close to the Duke and Duchess of Berry and accompanied the latter during the 1832 attempt to restore the Bourbons to the Count of Chambord.
