AUGSBURG, 1668-1703 MO Samuel Frey, master in 1668, died in 1703. Removable silver and steel flatware in a case, consisting of three pieces: a rat-tail spoon, a fork and a knife, in silver partially gilded and partially enamelled (blue, red and white) and steel elements (blade and fork). The guilloché handles have secrets, the knobs unscrew and hide: a penholder in the spoon; three dice in the knife and an alcohol syringe in the fork. Silver controls on the knob of the handles and the base of the spoon: Austria-Hungary (Vienna office), early 19th century. Custom-made burgundy leather case. Minor enamel damage.
