Description
TABLE SET in silver gilt (800 and 925) (24 pieces, 3 models). STRASBOURG, Jean-Geoffroy FRITZ, 1798-1819. It includes six table settings, six tea spoons, six knives. The pieces are presented in a square box with compartments (except for the small spoons), covered with red leather, decorated with gilded iron friezes and a central rosette with the first name Louise and the number 3 in black ink, brass fittings, gilded lamé braid inside.
- six cutlery pieces, fillet pattern: hallmark 2nd title departments 1809-1819 and hallmark "F" (for 7 pieces), hallmark "FRITZ" (for 4 pieces), silversmith's hallmark effaced (for one piece).
- six knives, square-handled model: 1798-1809 (hallmark 2nd title/office n°78 for 5 knives) and 1809-1819 (1st title for 1 knife), hallmark "F".
- six tea spoons, filleted model with pointed spatula: mark "FRITZ (?)" and mint mark 1798-1809 (lictor beam) (for 3 spoons), illegible marks (for 3 spoons). Two different gildings.
