Description
Silver MENAGERE (925) of 50 pieces. PARIS, Emile PUIFORCAT, ap. 1857 (Minerve). Neo-Gothic spearhead model with rat-tail, spatula decorated with the applied monogram MD (Maulion-Duplessix). It includes eighteen place settings, twelve oyster forks (in a case marked: Lemarchand / goldsmith-jeweller / Rennes), four tea/coffee spoons, two of which are broken. Weight 3698 g. Hélène Duplessix (1879-1950) married Paul Maulion (1875-1946), mayor of Mauron and senator of Morbihan, not far from the Château du Bois de La Roche owned by her grandfather Ange Bossard.
