Description
Maison CHANEL. Prêt à Porter collection circa 1996-1997 - Satchel in black quilted patent leather, coloured handle, double CC in gilded metal, leather interior, single compartment, two pockets, one of which is zipped, and back patch pocket. Height 30 cm - Length: 37 cm Hologram. Some scratches and marks. This model reflects Karl LAGERFELD's stylistic direction at the end of the 1990s, aimed at adapting Gabrielle CHANEL's heritage to the needs of active women. By hijacking the lines of the men's satchel to turn it into a fashion accessory, the House created an emblematic piece of "business chic". The use of patent leather, a strong visual signature of the decade, underlines the bag's rigid structure while offering added protection against everyday use. With its double "C" clasp and generous volume, this satchel combines the rigour of a utilitarian object with the aesthetic codes of rue Cambon. Lot from a voluntary sale.
