[CLAUDE (Victor)]. *Les grapillons*: tales in verse, sonnets, epigrams, fables, witticisms, innocent musings, piquancy, etc., by a witty Burgundian… Paris, Arnaud and Labat, 1879. In-12, early 20th-century green glossy half-calf in the Bradel style, author’s name, title, fleurons and dates gilded on the spine, untrimmed, original illustrated cover preserved (dry-stamped on the half-title page). Illustrated with a frontispiece engraved by Ad. Lalauze. Preface by Octave Uzanne. Printed in a run of 530 copies; this one on unlined laid paper. Provenance: A. Quantin (1850–1933), bookseller and publisher (ex-libris). Also included, by the same author: - *Les derniers grapillons. Contes en vers....* Auxerre, Impr. Lanier, 1891. In-12, paperback (foxing, embossed title label). Etched frontispiece by A. Lalauze. That is, 2 volumes.
