Published by authority of Carolus de Caylus, Bishop of Autissiodor, and with the consent of the chapter of that church. Autissiodor, printed by F. Fournier, 1751. Two parts in one quarto volume, xi–428 pp., [2] folios, 86 pp., [2] folios, contemporary glazed havana calf, spine with 5 raised bands, burgundy morocco title label, decorated panels, gilt roulette on the cut edges, marbled edges (one corner blunt, lower cover slightly scratched and stained; scattered foxing, faint water stains on 6 folios at the end of the volume and a few rare margins). The martyrology proper is followed by an index of names, a topographical index (its final leaf, numbered *Nnn2, is a blank sheet), and a list of saints of the diocese. Provenance: A. C. Salomon, solicitor in St Florentin, Yonne, 19th century (label); Paul Berthier (1884–1953), composer, organist at Auxerre Cathedral (engraved bookplate).
