In-8, contemporary light-coloured half-basane, smooth spine, author’s name and title in black, gilt fillets, embossed fleurons, red edges (slight rubbing; a few foxing spots, repaired with adhesive on p. 221).
First edition, illustrated with 15 coloured plates. Olivier-Jacques Chardon (1762–1856) was president of the civil court of first instance in Auxerre, a member of the General Council of the Yonne department and of the Central Council of Agriculture.
