Two volumes bound together as one large folio volume, [12] leaves, 423 pp.; [2] leaves, 359-13-VIII pp., [1] fol., contemporary speckled tan calf binding, spine with 6 raised bands, burgundy morocco title label, decorated panels, red edges (minor tears at the top and bottom of the clamps, worn corners; water stain on the inner margin of the preliminary leaves, a few leaves yellowed; portrait missing).
First edition dedicated to the Academician Bouhier, President of the Parliament of Burgundy. Wood-engraved headpieces and initials. A few modern annotations, 3 lines underlined in red (I, 389 and II, 217). Copy with wide margins (h = 373 mm).
