In-8, [2] leaves, 516 pp., publisher’s green cardboard binding, title and decoration gilded on the spine and upper cover (slightly rubbed, a few foxing spots). First edition. Copy enhanced with 3 plates: a photogravure view of the Clock Tower, and 2 lithographs, including a fold-out view of Avallon. Also includes a loose autograph letter, signed by the bookseller Maillefer, Gallot’s successor, dated 1836 and addressed to the printer Comynet.
