(Additions), plates, contemporary speckled havana calf, spine with 5 raised bands, red morocco title label, decorated panels, double gilt fillet with cut-outs, red edges (a few minor defects including snags to the headbands and corners; a repaired tear on plate 17).
This constitutes the fourth and final volume published of this work, complete for Burgundy, and illustrated with 115 separate sheets of genealogical tables, some of which are fold-outs (no. 113 misplaced), as well as numerous wood-engraved coats of arms within the text. The half-title reads: ‘Continuation of the historical genealogies of the sovereign houses, &c. Volume IV. Containing the houses that have held the various parts of the kingdoms of Burgundy & Arles’. A typewritten ‘Hubners’ label on the title page.
