Offset lithograph on paper, hand-coloured in watercolour,
with unique hand-colouring by Warhol and his friends!
Dimensions:
+ Sheet size: 21.5 x 27.5 cm / 8.4 x 10.8 in.
Condition: In good overall condition with a few slight creases from handling. Slight discolouration along the edges of this 1956 print, a few minor stains in the margins from the hand-colouring, and a few small holes along the left-hand edge due to the hand-bound binding. Very sharp image, with vivid and luminous colours.
Taken from Andy Warhol’s illustrated book *In the Bottom of My Garden*, depicting fairies and putti frolicking in a garden. This is one of his earliest works in book production using offset lithography in the 1950s.
This is the first original print, produced in 1956 from an edition of unknown size.
