RARE EGYPTIAN LIMESTONE MODEL OF A TOWNHOUSE. New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A limestone model of a townhouse with a rectangular form, featuring incised and pierced architectural details. The three-storey structure has doors on the ground level, square windows on the upper levels, and a flat roof with an open terrace, reflecting typical New Kingdom mudbrick architecture. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
