LARGE EGYPTIAN RED QUARTZITE BUST OF MAN WITH DOUBLE WIG.
New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC.
A red quartzite bust of a man wearing a double wig. The oval face is carved with a smooth brow, arched lids over almond-shaped eyes, a straight, narrow nose, and full lips above a firm, rounded chin. The jaw is compact, and the ears are set low against the head. A broad, forward-set neck shows the clavicles. Mounted.
