EGYPTIAN WOOD PYXIS. Middle Kingdom, Ca. 2030 - 1650 BC. A truncated cone wood pyxis supported on four short legs. The exterior is decorated with incised checkerboard panels and framed by parallel bands near the top and base. A separate conical lid fits over the opening. Size: 80mm x 65mm; Weight: 45g Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex. Kurt Flimm, 2008. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
