EGYPTIAN CALCITE TRUNCATED VASE WITH MOULDED LIP. Old Kingdom, 3rd Dynasty, Ca. 2686 - 2613 BC. A cylindrical vessel carved from pale calcite with natural veining, tapering slightly towards a flat, circular base and terminating at the top in an outward-thickened rim.
