Description

EGYPTIAN FAIENCE NECKLACE WITH FLOWER PENDANTS. New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A restrung necklace composed of numerous small disc-shaped faience beads in alternating colours, from which at regular intervals extend short strands terminating in stylised lotus and bell-shaped flower pendants. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition. Size: 1.1 - 11mm x 702mm; Weight: 20g Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex. Private collection 1970s-1990s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
