SET OF EGYPTIAN FAIENCE AND CARNELIAN JEWELLERY. New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A collection of faience and carnelian jewellery comprising five sections of polychrome disc beads that diverge from a single strand. The assemblage also includes a matched pair of earrings, each with a vertical element and a carnelian poppy-shaped pendant, as well as a beaded fitting with gold-coloured chains. Also present are short strands of assorted beads, loose ring beads in varying colours, and two spherical dangles. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
