EGYPTIAN GOLD COILED RING WITH SCARABOID DEPICTING A STANDING MAN. Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A gold ring formed as a tightly coiled rope-twist hoop with terminal loops linked to a swivel fitting, set with a lion-shaped scaraboid with an oval base engraved with a standing man, legs apart and arms hanging loosely. Size: D:12mm / US: 44928 / UK: A; Weight: 4g Provenance: Private London collection; previously acquired from a New York private collection formed in the 1980s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
