COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN STONE VESSELS. Old Kingdom, Ca. 2640 - 2200 BC. A collection of five stone vessels, including, from left to right: a small cylindrical cup with slightly tapered sides and a flat base; a squat cylindrical jar with an everted rim and flat base; a compact jar with a thick rim; a cylindrical cup with upright walls, plain rim and flat base; a tall conical beaker with a wide flaring mouth and multiple horizontal grooves to the body. Size: 20-65mm x 25-45mm; Weight: 235g Provenance: Private UK collection; acquired in Germany; formerly with M. Koening collection, Brussels, Belgium 1990s-2010.
