EGYPTIAN POTTERY USHABTI.
New Kingdom to Third Intermediate Period, Ca. 1550 - 664 BC.
A pottery ushabti, mummiform and wearing a tripartite wig framing an oval face. Forearms are crossed on the chest and grip a hoe and a pick. A rectangular seed basket sits on the back. The tapering body bears a vertical column of hieroglyphs in brown pigment and ends in a rounded foot.
