EGYPTIAN FAIENCE ANUBIS AMULET. Third Intermediate Period, Ca. 1069 - 664 BC. A faience amulet of Anubis standing on a small rectangular base. The jackal-headed god has an elongated muzzle and upright ears, wears a pleated kilt, and stands with the left leg advanced. The arms hang straight with the hands against the thighs. A back pillar rises the full height of the figure and is pierced for suspension approximately at mid-height. For similar see: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Object Number: 04.2.151.
